Saw your Leno’s Garage episode, awesome car! Any more upgrades planed, or is it too fast already?

Mostly drivability upgrades at this point. Narrower wheels in the front, gonna try a hand clutch on the shifter (cause it’s not motorcycle enough), and maybe get rid of the welded diff and get a proper LSD.

You should get slightly smaller diameter front wheels, too. Just to give it a badass rake.

Yeah, I was amazed at how fat those fronts were. I’m surprised Jay didn’t say anything about the welded diff. Did he notice it?

that’s the plan!

he didn’t mention it. its not as bad as some cars because the track is so narrow, but it is noticable in tight corners and when pushing it (which happens a lot since it has no reverse)

They let that slide? Clearly the request came in on a Friday afternoon, and they concurred.

I saw your episode on Leno and man that car looks like fun. I could tell that Jay was enjoying the hell out of that drive.

Lurking in the YouTube/Oppositelock archives and found this, so sad I missed it at Santana Row Cars & Coffee (to be honest, not a huge fan of that meetup...).
Your build has convinced me that my next car with be a cheap <$12K from start to finish light weight, convertible/roadster with a stick. Don’t care a whole lot about speed, just want to build something cool and functional.
